Reserve your spot for Raft the River!

July 10th, 2017

Spaces are filling up for Tamarisk Coalition's 4th Annual Raft the River event, don't forget to reserve your spot on a raft!

On August 26, 2017, TC's one-day adventure and dinner on the Colorado River will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the riverside restoration happening in the Grand Valley.

Guided by Rimrock Adventure staff, we'll float from Rimrock Adventures to the Loma Boat Ramp. TC staff and local river experts, such as Ture Nycum, Fruita's Director of Parks and Recreation and Ivan Archer, Wildlife Technician with Colorado Parks and Wildlife, will be on board to talk about restoration work on this stretch. Other topics may include the tamarisk beetle, fish, and wildlife.

After the float, enjoy delicious food (thanks to Rib City, Barons, Cafe Sol, Octopus Coffee, and Home Style Bakery), drinks (both non-alcoholic beverages and beer from Copper Club Brewing Company), prizes (including two $50 gifts cards to Chelsea Nursery, one free SUP rental from Rimrock Adventures, one 1.75 L bottle of Jackelope Gin from Peach Street Distillers, two 1 pound bags of coffee and two jugs of cold brew from Colorado Legacy Coffee), and live music from Shaun Ray!

Sign up ends on August 10th.
