Who attends the Riparian Restoration Conference?
Over 200 river restoration professionals e.g. land managers, scientists, non-profit organizations, watershed groups, private landowners, consultants, students, river enthusiasts, biologists - you!

Hear What Attendees Have to Say...
“RiversEdge West puts together a topnotch conference that attracts a wide range of relevant restoration presenters who are doing important work. Having the opportunity to not only hear from the experts but to actually interact with them between sessions is invaluable. If you are involved in riparian restoration in any capacity you need to clear your calendar to make room to attend this conference!"
“The Riparian Restoration Conference is one of the most informative and useful conferences I have ever attended in my career in that it brings together scientists, resource managers, and practitioners with ample opportunity to share and discuss information, goals, and methods across a broad range of relevant topics.”
“It is just inspirational and invigorating being around so many people doing similar work.  It was especially helpful meeting people who work in similar organizations but in different places.”
“[The Conference] provides a broad range of information and new research that is applicable to a variety of audiences including private landowners.”

COVID-19 Update:
We are planning for an in-person Riparian Restoration Conference in Grand Junction, CO, February 23-25, 2022. Due to COVID-19, we are evaluating changes to the conference format to provide for the safety of its participants, following the latest CDC, state, and county guidelines for an in-person event.

Share your work at our 20th Annual Riparian Restoration Conference - Abstracts are due October 1, 2021.

The proposed topic(s) should address the theme of the conference: learning from the last 20 years; planning for the next.

What has worked and what has not worked from both a historical standpoint as well as present-day? How do we manage a constantly changing landscape while incorporating traditional ecological knowledge, historical land management, and cultural considerations? The topic(s) should be novel, timely, and interesting to a broad range of riparian restoration land managers and/or scientists. Applications that incorporate innovative approaches, applied science, best management practices, analyses of riparian restoration, and/or lessons learned are strongly encouraged.

Potential topics include but are not limited to:
  • Climate Change & Adaptation
  • Restoration Details
  • Grazing in Riparian Areas
  • Revegetation
  • Lessons Learned & Failed Projects
  • Science, Technology, & Monitoring
  • Diverse Stakeholder Engagement & Stewardship
