Colorado Stream Restoration Network Workshop: "The River Ethic"

Join us on Monday, February 24th at Colorado State University (CSU) in Fort Collins to kick off the 2020 season of the Colorado Stream Restoration Network (CSRN). Brought to you by CRA and the City of Longmont, CSRN is a series of free workshops on riparian topics of interest to (and presented by) our Colorado riparian/stream community. CSRN is in its 7th year, born of Colorado’s 2013 Front Range flood as a means of sharing information and messaging to help guide flood recovery efforts towards more river- and riparian-friendly solutions.

Western Places/Western Spaces Conference - Hot, Dry & Crowded: Planning for the Future

The West of the future will be warmer and more populous, and as a result, will face significant challenges with respect to our water supplies, our ability to withstand unpredictable weather patterns and extreme storm events, and our capacity to preserve our economy and our quality of life while adapting to the coming changes. The climate is changing, but we can do something about it.

10th Annual Western Colorado Soil Health Conference

Soil health is critical to the future of agricultural production on the Western Slope of Colorado. With a contingent of farmers as well as community groups and government officials the Western Slope has been able to take soil health education and implementation techniques and specifically adjust them for the local area. As pressure on agricultural production increases, soil health practices can insure that agricultural needs are met with sustainable production, quality and economic viability.
