The Partners in the Outdoors Conference brings together stakeholders engaged in the future of Colorado's conservation and recreational opportunities.  The conference provides a platform to network, collaborate, and create initiatives that connect coalitions of organizations, agencies, schools, businesses, and communities. At this one-of-a-kind conference, you'll work together to advance outdoor recreation, education, and conservation.

Upper Colorado River Basin Water Forum: Stories from the Field

The 2017 Forum will showcase stories that illuminate the challenges and complexities involved in trying to understand Upper Colorado River Basin water issues and manage water in new ways, as well as the insights that result from this work.

2017 Quivira Conference: Ranching and Farming at the Radical Center

The Quivira Coalition invites you and your members to the 2017 Quivira Conference: Ranching and Farming at the Radical Center, November 15-17, at the Embassy Suites in Albuquerque, NM.
 
The conference is internationally renowned for bringing together thought leaders, agrarian innovators, and land stewards—from across the Southwest and around the world—for three days of provocative plenary presentations, networking, and special events focused on the intersection of agriculture and conservation.

The theme for the 2018  conference is “Conservation Delivery in Changing Times.” This is a joint meeting of natural resource professionals, researchers, students, and managers representing more than seven professional societies and organizations to discuss research and management surrounding the field of natural resources.  This conference also serves as an excellent venue to network with other natural resource minded professionals.

 

 

SER-SW Annual Conference

The Society for Ecological Restoration, Southwest Chapter (SER-SW) was formed in 2011 to facilitate communication and encourage coordination among land managers, researchers, and restorationists working in the southwestern United States, where minimal and variable precipitation presents unique challenges for the restoration of degraded ecosystems.

State of the Watershed

 
Overview:
The first annual State of the Watershed public forum will be held on September 22 at Eastern Arizona College in Thatcher, AZ. Local and state experts will share the most current information about natural and water resources in the Upper Gila Watershed. Fire, flood, and the arrival of tamarisk leaf beetle are highlighted topics at this event.  Other topics include: snowpack, climate forecasts, mining, local water supplies, and river channelization.  All are welcome, and questions from the audience are encouraged.  
 

Riparian Restoration Conference

Over 200 people joined the Tamarisk Coalition and the Water Center at Colorado Mesa University for a sold-out Riparian Restoration Conference in Grand Junction, Colorado, February 6-8, 2018.
