Texas Invasive Plant & Pest Conference

The Texas Invasive Plant and Pest Conference is a professional level meeting including keynote speakers, concurrent sessions (with multiple presentations), workshops, field trips, poster sessions, and symposia designed to serve researchers, students, naturalists, the weed and pest management industry, land managers, state and federal agencies, local governments, other natural resource professionals, and anyone else with an interest in Texas' invasive species.

Urban Stream Processes and Restoration Program

This training will focus on natural design processes for stream restoration projects. Materials delivered in the training will help attendees understand:
  • Urban stream functions,
  • Impacts of development on urban streams,
  • Recognize healthy versus degraded stream systems,
  • Assess and classify a stream using the Bank Erosion Hazard Index (BEHI), and
  • Comprehend differences between natural and traditional restoration techniques.

Upper Gila Watershed Forum

Join us for the second annual Upper Gila Watershed Forum (Formerly Upper Gila River State of the Watershed Meeting) on January 11th at Eastern Arizona College in Thatcher, Arizona. This year's topic, "Adapting to a Hotter and Drier Future," will explore how, as a community, we are adjusting our agricultural, business, and household practices to prepare for hotter and drier scenarios. The forum also provides a place to share experiences and lessons learned with neighboring communities. All are welcome!

2018 SER SW Chapter Annual Conference

The Society for Ecological Restoration, Southwest Chapter (SER-SW) was formed in 2011 to facilitate communication and encourage coordination among land managers, researchers, and restorationists working in the southwestern United States, where minimal and variable precipitation presents unique challenges for the restoration of degraded ecosystems.
