Colorado Gives Day

December 8th, 2020

Schedule or make a gift for Colorado Gives Day (an annual statewide day of giving that celebrates and increases philanthropy in Colorado) happening on December 8th!
As we close out a challenging year, we look towards a brighter future and usher in 2021 with a renewed sense of dedication to addressing the health of our rivers. To that end, we hope you will join our efforts and our dedicated partners in caring for one of our most precious resources.
One thing that is clear is the importance of rivers to our way of life, our local and national economies, the critical habitat they offer 80% of wildlife species, and the opportunities for recreation and solace that they provide. Unfortunately, the health of rivers is being stressed by increasing temperatures, persistent drought conditions, and prevalent fire risks. If we don’t continue to work to restore and protect our rivers - we will surely be facing additional challenges.
Here at RiversEdge West, we are committed to our mission of keeping rivers in the Southwest healthy by working on-the-ground with diverse restoration practitioners and providing them with the technical and financial assistance they need to be successful in removing invasive plants and supporting much-needed stewardship. We also work with researchers to identify the key questions surrounding river and riparian science and share that science across various audiences. We are also cultivating a future generation of diverse and educated stewards by working with and training conservation corps in the work of natural resource management and bringing river/riparian curriculum into the classroom.
In this time, we are calling on you to make a continued difference in the health of rivers to ensure they are resilient in the future. We are calling on you to invest in our rivers by supporting our organization.
