Grants That Get Funded

April 28th, 2017
Community Room, Housing Authority at Linden Pointe
Prospect research. Relationship building. Writing and editing. The numbers. Managing grants, reporting results.
Formulas for success and rookie mistakes. Dos and don’ts and it depends.
Trends. Readiness. Getting organized. They said yes; what next? They said no; what next?
Government money. Foundation money. Corporate money. Service clubs. Yep, even churches award grants.
A workshop for those looking to raise money for a nonprofit or governmental organization. A little something extra for those thinking that writing as an independent sounds even better. Is grant writing a job they really pay you to do?!?
The instructor is Illene Roggensack, owner of Third Sector Innovations, consulting firm to nonprofit organizations. Ms. Roggensack has taught grant writing for more than 20 years and has secured tens of millions of dollars (or maybe its hundreds…she quit counting) in private and public grants. And, she knows more than 75 things about fundraising, promotions, board and leadership development, strategic planning and organizational excellence.
8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Workshop
3:45-4:45 p.m. Lagniappe for Freelancers
