The annual San Juan Mining and Reclamation Conference provides an informative, public venue for citizens and professionals to network and learn about topics and technologies relevant to mining operations, remediation, water quality and watershed issues in the San Juan Mountain region.
The 2016 San Juan Mining and Reclamation Conference will explore the impacts of San Juan Mountain mining history on the future of our water quality, reclamation practices and human health.  The 2016 conference will look to the Animas River to understand how mine disturbances affect our communities and economy today. There will be opportunities to discuss, educate and collaborate on the importance of maintaining a balance between resource extraction practices and their effects on water quality and ecosystem function.
