Brought to you by the Tamarisk Coalition, this workshop will equip river restoration enthusiasts with tips and tricks for better managing riparian areas in the Four Corners area.
The Basics: Check-in begins and 8:30 am at Ft. Lewis College (Colorado Room in the Student Union Building) and we'll finish up by 5:00pm at Waterfall Ranch. You are responsible for getting yourself to the field site (~20 minutes).
What topics will be covered at the workshop?
Morning classroom portion will include: a panel on riparian restoration for habitat improvement (birds, fish, & bees - oh my!), a presentation by Chris Rasmussen on site prioritization across landscapes, and small group discussions on community engagement on collaborative projects.
The afternoon at Waterfall Ranch will begin with a catered lunch and be followed by a tour of Animas River Wetlands, with a discussion about monitoring.
