Western Colorado Conservation Corps


WCCC recruits young adults and youth ages 17-25 to complete service projects on public lands in western Colorado. WCCC Crew Members work on the health and accessibility of these lands through projects such as: building and maintaining trails, fuel mitigation, fence construction and maintenance, invasive species removal, habitat restoration, and other conservation related projects in backcountry and front country settings. WCCC recruits youth from local western Colorado communities, as well as nationally. Crews typically work 4 10-hour days a week. from 7am to 5pm.
Sonoran Institute


Sonoran Institute is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Program Manager to join our Growing Water Smart team. Sonoran Institute’s “Growing Water Smart” (GWS) program trains and assists communities in ensuring that land-use planning is sensitive to future water conditions and makes the most strategic and equitable use of that water.
The Program Manager is responsible for building and managing projects such as our multi-day Growing Water Smart workshop and community implementation projects, our Peer-to-Peer Network of land use planners and water resource managers, and the creation of additional cutting-edge resources to support local governments and water providers in achieving water-smart growth.

Southern Sierra Research Station


The Southern Sierra Research Station (SSRS) is looking for approximately 20 full-time seasonal technicians to participate in a range-wide survey effort for the federally threatened western Yellow-billed Cuckoo (YBCU), with approximately 13 positions in Arizona, 6 in New Mexico, and 1 in west Texas. Each technician will work independently conducting playback surveys at multiple field sites between June 15-July 31. Playback surveys begin at dawn and end by 11am, with additional duties including data submission/review, travel between sites, and coordinating with the field crew coordinator and project partners.
