Pomona fifth-grade students get outdoor, hands-on classroom experience.
RiversEdge West partnered with the Grand Junction Fire Department and District 51 to teach fifth graders at Pomona Elementary School about managing wildfires and their impact on our environment (air quality, home security, insurance, safety).
Students participated in three different rotations that included a fire simulation, ecology, and vulnerable population related to wildfires.
