Each August, RiversEdge West partners with Rimrock Adventures to offer a guided one-day float trip and brunch on the Colorado River.
Thank you to everyone that joined us on August 19th for our favorite day of the summer! 50 attendees explored the beauty of the Colorado Rivers with us while supporting a great cause at our 2023 Raft the River fundraiser.
We launched from Rimrock Adventures in Fruita, CO, and took out at the Loma Boat Ramp. The river float trip offered a unique opportunity to explore the natural beauty of the Colorado River while contributing to its restoration. Our expert guides accompanied attendees, and offered insights into the vital work of riverside restoration in the Grand Valley.
Following the float, we indulged in a brunch catered by Cafe Sol, and enjoyed bloody marys and mimosas while mingling with fellow river enthusiasts. We raised a glass to the success of our mission and everyone had a chance to win prizes at Rimrock Adventure's charming riverside venue.

I want to thank you for arranging the Raft the River trip! It was certainly an educational trip! I hope my brain can retain what I learned about the Colorado River, information pertaining to tamarisk trees, beetles, Russian olive trees, willows, plus other native and non-native plants and fish. Rimrock provided us with awesome navigators and food served in a beautiful location following the raft adventure. It was nice meeting people who are interested in our outdoor world along the Colorado River Valley.
