Working Collaboratively For A Healthy, Flowing River System

Friends of the Verde River is a Non-Profit organization whose mission is “working collaboratively for a healthy, flowing Verde River system.” This poster aims to highlight the successes, lessons-learned, challenges faced, and evolution of our effort to implement ecological restoration projects. Specifically, this poster will present Friends of the Verde River’s implementation of a watershed-wide collaborative group, the Verde Watershed Restoration Coalition(VWRC). This group has joined Federal, State, Municipal, First Nations, and private stakeholders in restoration projects throughout the Verde Watershed over the last eleven years. The poster will also highlight one long-term and ongoing restoration project, and the importance of collaboration in its success.
