Working Collaboratively For A Healthy, Flowing River System

Friends of the Verde River is a Non-Profit organization whose mission is “working collaboratively for a healthy, flowing Verde River system.” This presentation aims to highlight the successes, lessons-learned, challenges faced, and evolution of our effort to implement ecological restoration projects. Specifically, this presentation will discuss the involvement of Federal, State, Municipal, First Nations, and private stakeholders in restoration projects through the Verde Watershed Restoration Coalition (VWRC) over the last eleven years. We will also touch on the participation of residents and businesses through our River Friendly Living (RFL) certification program.
