In 2022, RiversEdge West hosted the Connected Lakes Volunteers! The group met on the first Tuesday of each month from May-October of 2022.
Collectively, we removed invasive Russian olive (and endured a few scrapes to boot), closed social trails, weeded, and removed pampas grass seed heads. Over the course of 7 events and with 109 volunteers, this donated time is valued at $6,869!
Thank you to everyone who participated; this work is a critical piece in ensuring that these beautiful places remain protected and healthy in the future. A big thanks to our site host, Pete Firmin with Colorado Parks and Wildlife, for having us.
